Honest information for makers and growers.
The Centre Fold Project is your place to find honest and reliable information on DIY, gardening and landscaping.
Why we exist
Useful guides without the hype
Home and garden advice online is often padded, contradictory, or written to sell something. We aim to do the opposite: explain how a job works, what it needs, and where the risks are.
We write for beginners and for people who want a refresher. Where the evidence is mixed, we say so. Where a job needs a professional, an inspection, or a permit, we say that too.
How we write
Our principles
Be accurate
We check facts and explain our reasoning, and we update guides when we learn something new.
Be clear
Short sentences, real steps, and no jargon for its own sake.
Be safe
Safety comes first, and we point out when to follow local rules or call a professional.
